P\u00e5 v\u00e5r rundvandring passerar vi en av de stora tankar som inneh\u00e5ller den flytande gasen nedkyld till -160 grader.<br \/>-F\u00f6r n\u00e4rvarande k\u00f6r vi med LNG, men i framtiden vill vi k\u00f6ra med biogas f\u00f6r att minska utsl\u00e4ppen ytterligare. Problemet \u00e4r \u00e4n s\u00e5 l\u00e4nge tillg\u00e5ngen till biogas. Det finns en stor biogasanl\u00e4ggning i \u00d6sterbotten. Wasaline kan inte ge en exakt siffra \u00e4nnu, men marknadschefen Catarina Fant s\u00e4ger att det handlar om mer \u00e4n halvering av utsl\u00e4ppen.<\/p><p>Det \u00e4r m\u00e5nga detaljer som bidrar till energieffektiviteten. Det \u00e4r inte traditionella propellrar som driver b\u00e5ten fram\u00e5t utan tv\u00e5 azipodar, d v s propellrar f\u00e4sta i en upph\u00e4ngning som g\u00f6r att de g\u00e5r att vrida 360 grader. Det betyder ocks\u00e5 att fartyget inte har ett roder. Bakom en d\u00f6rr d\u00f6ljer sig ett mindre rum fyllt av batterier.<br \/>-Det h\u00e4r r\u00e4cker till ganska m\u00e5nga Teslor, konstaterar Mats-Peter.<\/p><p>Han har helt r\u00e4tt. 6 000 kilowattimmars batterikapacitet motsvarar 60 stora eldrivna personbilar. Men det finns en po\u00e4ng med att komplettera gasdriften med batterier.<br \/>-Batterierna g\u00f6r att vi kan k\u00f6ra maskinen optimalt, p\u00e5 90 procent av kapaciteten. Batterierna tar hand om topparna i belastning och vi anv\u00e4nder dem ocks\u00e5 n\u00e4r vi g\u00e5r in i hamn.<\/p><p>Det alstras mycket v\u00e4rme fr\u00e5n motorerna. Avgaserna fr\u00e5n motorerna \u00e4r riktigt heta, men \u00e4ven sj\u00e4lva motorn avger v\u00e4rme. P\u00e5 en sk\u00e4rm i kontrollrummet g\u00e5r det att se temperaturer och fl\u00f6den av varmluft. Allt tas om hand f\u00f6r att v\u00e4rma upp de utrymmen d\u00e4r passagerarna vistas.<\/p><p>-Varmvatten, uppv\u00e4rmning av hotelldelen och \u00e4ven bild\u00e4cket v\u00e4rms med hj\u00e4lp av spillv\u00e4rme. Just nu klarar vi hela uppv\u00e4rmningen p\u00e5 detta s\u00e4tt. N\u00e4r det \u00e4r riktigt kallt i januari \u00e4r det f\u00f6rst\u00e5s en annan sak.<\/p><p>Men det g\u00e4ller naturligtvis att inte anv\u00e4nda mer energi \u00e4n n\u00f6dv\u00e4ndigt. I de utrymmen d\u00e4r ingen vistas s\u00e4nks temperaturen automatiskt och belysningen sl\u00e4cks.<br \/>-Om det \u00e4r f\u00e5 passagerare under l\u00e5gs\u00e4song kan vi ocks\u00e5 dela av restaurangen, s\u00e5 att vi inte beh\u00f6ver v\u00e4rma upp hela utrymmet, s\u00e4ger Mats-Peter n\u00e4r vi passerar igenom den gener\u00f6st tilltagna restaurangdelen.<\/p><p>Det \u00e4r snart dags f\u00f6r Aurora Botnias avg\u00e5ng mot Vasa, s\u00e5 vi tackar Mats-Peter f\u00f6r rundvandringen och g\u00e5r tillbaka genom den inglasade rampen som f\u00f6rbinder avg\u00e5ngshallen och fartyget.
